Welcome to the Homepage for the Public Management SIG @ EURAM 2012

Inside the Academy, the Public Management Special Interest Group aims at providing a wide-ranging, authoritative and internationally-focused forum to discuss major developments and key debates in the field of governance, organization and management of public administrations and public services.
Current themes include, but are not limited to, network management, ethics and trust, performance management, quality improvement, budgeting and accounting, e-government, human resources management.

Tracks

This year in Rotterdam, the SIG will feature the following tracks:

  1. Public Management General Track
  2. Management Research in Healthcare Organizations
  3. Rethinking business curricula from the point of ethical vigilance and moral awareness This track has been merged with Track 63

Editorial Initiatives

At least two Journal Special Issues linked to Public Management SIG are being scheduled:
- Special issue of the International Journal on Public Sector Performance Management (IJPSPM) (CfP to be circulated)
- Special issue of Public Money & Management (definition in progress)

SIG Pre-conference and Plenary

On the morning of June 6th, before the EURAM2012 Welcome session, a SIG Pre-Conference and Plenary will be held. Part of this time will be devoted to discussing key issues and strategic directions for the SIG. We’re also planning to have an exciting keynote speaker involved (TBC).

Awards

This year, awards for the BEST PAPER and BEST REVIEWER in the SiG will be introduced.

Networking Events

A social dinner among SIG members is being programmed for the evening of June 6th.
